Episode I: The Rise of Sustainability

There is unrest in the Galactic Smart City. Several thousand citizens have declared their intentions to move due to rising sustainability issues. While the congress endlessly debates this alarming threat, the Board of European Students of Technology has secretly dispatched Jedi Knights to find a solution.

Hoping to solve the given problem, fighters for sustainability teamed up in groups of four and armed themselves with the greatest weapon in their possession – creativity! Backed up by powers of technology and science, with the support of BEST Vienna and DXC Technology, the Jedi knights establish a strategy to restore sustainability in the galaxy! This critical mission with the code name beBRIGHT sends the fierce Jedi Knights in their toughest battle yet. A battle where strength and lightsabers are of no use - a battle of wits it is! They began their secret mission by facing a well known enemy…

As a thank you for saving the Galactic Smart City and thus restoring balance in the galaxy, the mayor promises to reward all fighters with free food, goodie bags and special accolades for the most triumphant team! The crisis still can be averted.

Come to the bright side and may the fourth be with you.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is a case study?

A case study is a competition where you work in a team to find a solution to a given topic. The topic is related to problems, that are found everywhere in our day to day life. This can range from climate change to garbage disposal. The topic will encourage you to think outside the box and come up with innovative ideas to solve them. In the end you will present your amazing solution to a panel of judges, who will rank them. In case you win (which I am certain you will ;) ) you will have the opportunity to talk to our sponsoring company - DXC! And you will get some great prices, so let me tell you that it is worth it. :)

What do I need to bring?

All you need is motivation, fun and a laptop. If you prefer writing by hand, we will provide some paper and pens. You will get food and drinks, so no worries about starving during the day :)
